Kudos for Tribune from Washington Post columnist

That was a wonderful editorial about Princeton at Pismo (“Franchising the Ivy League sounds great. But not with a Princeton in Pismo Beach”).

It was funny, erudite and wise and a deserved slap in the face to the writer of that Washington Post column, me. I share your love of Cal Poly SLO and clearly your newspaper is also first rate. And you are even smart enough to see that I paired “Princeton” and “Pismo” mostly because of the way the two words trip off the tongue.

You are also very kind to promote my column in this way. We drive through your terrific region regularly, where I always stop for a large root beer freeze at the A&W in Atascadero. We have often stayed for a few days just to soak up the scenery.
