Oceano Dunes visitors must take responsibility for themselves
I attended the Nov. 30 meeting concerning problems at the dunes Off-Highway Vehicle Park. I respect park personnel who have to police the vast acreage and believe it’s almost impossible.
Visitors and campers must take responsibility for their actions and damage to the park, and police those who have no respect for the park and its environment.
I cringe every time I hear an ambulance, fire engine or police car because I know someone is hurt, causing trouble or dead! What is the cost of signs at all entrances, and pamphlets reminding everyone to haul out theirs and others’ trash and leave the park cleaner than they found it, and appreciate the health and welfare of all who enjoy the park?
