Is it any wonder women don’t report sexual harassment?

Roy Moore

The ripple effect of outing sexual predators who hold powerful positions is finally happening. When a 32-year-old assistant district attorney grooms a 14-year-old for sexual purposes, that is not an ignorant act, it is sexual abuse of a child. What chance does a child have against one of the most powerful lawmakers in the county?

It’s time to believe the victims. We are everywhere. So many of us will never forget that shame, shock and helplessness. No wonder victims don’t want to relive the trauma with law enforcement, courtrooms and workplace investigations. What we hear is, “good women don’t get raped,” or “you are ruining his/her reputation.”
