Regarding Mary Cook’s letter regarding Leonard Pitts’ column (“Leonard Pitts’ columns are almost parodies”), which states it is “getting to be so tiresome and predictable.”

I read and appreciate the perspective Pitts brings to the table. As a white American, I can’t walk in his shoes, but I can see the issues through his eyes. Understanding can only bring about change and compassion, and that’s a good thing.
