Foxy’s end was heartless

The little gray fox was first spotted in the city of Arroyo Grande around September and quickly became a beloved Village mascot.

I never had the pleasure of meeting “Foxy” (affectionately named by those who loved her). I pray she felt no pain, fear or sense of human betrayal when she was trapped and euthanized.

To the USDA Wildlife Services Department: There were other options. Just one example would be to contact Pacific Wildlife Center for suggestions. Shame on you for your heartless and reactive decision.

Foxy, baby, you were loved and will be in our hearts forever.
