Thanks for the memories, Tom Fulks

I enjoyed reading Tom Fulks’ perspective on his high school in Northern Virginia in 1974 (“Don’t look now, but high schoolers have taken over the country,” Sept. 23). I also grew up there, graduating from a nearby high school in 1966. Now watching the Ken Burns/Lynn Novick series on Vietnam, I also am full of reflection on how our country changed, much during the Vietnam era.

Thank you, Tom, for keeping us in touch with the workings of the San Luis Obispo County supervisors. I heartily agree that some of our supervisors and our representatives in Congress need to start working for the good of the nation, not just for certain constituents.
