The Great Wall vs. The Trump Wall

My husband and I were discussing Trump’s dream of his great wall the other evening and Steve said something I found quite profound. He said, “You know, he’s not building a wall; he’s building a monument to himself.”

Wow. I think he might be right. Branding is Trump’s expertise. Having his name on things seems to be his greatest desire. The Trump Wall. The most beautiful wall anyone has ever seen! If he wants to make it the hugest wall anyone has ever seen he will have to curl it back around or stop and start again along the Canadian border. The Great Wall of China is 5,500 miles long, and our border with Mexico is only 1,989 miles. Sad. Poor Donald. Maybe he’s planning a presidential library to be included in his wall with book kiosks every few miles where you can pick up your own copy of “The Art of the Deal”.
