Bicyclist thanks Good Samaritans who helped him after a crash
I’m an avid bicyclist who rides many miles on the roads of SLO County. Recently I fell hard on Price Canyon. I was rolling about 18 mph when I hit a softball-sized rock that brought me down. Within 30 seconds, at least six good Samaritans assembled to render first aid, calling 911, calling my wife, picking up the bike and taking it to my home in A.G., and remaining until I was transported to A.G. hospital in an ambulance.
I have no idea who these people were. I would like to personally express my heartfelt thanks for their actions and compassion. The EMT and the folks at A.G. Hospital were fantastic. Some stitches in my arm, a very sore leg and badly bruised hip are the result. I will heal and forget my hurts, but what I’ll always remember are the good Samaritans who came to my aid. I thank God that I live in a community that is caring, honest and willing to give a stranger a helping hand.
