I read the excellent viewpoint by Arlene Versaw in the June 30 edition of The Tribune: “Board of Supervisors turns a blind eye to pollution generated at Oceano Dunes.”

Supervisors Debbie Arnold, John Peschong, and Lynn Compton are pathetic excuses for public servants. They voted down the Chumash Marine Sanctuary, which would protect our beloved coast from big oil; and they couldn’t care less about the health of us living on the Nipomo Mesa.

Next election, let’s vote people in who care about the environment and the health of their constituents.

Margaret Wallace, Nipomo
