President Pence could be a good thing for America
It might take six months, it might take a year, but I do feel President Donald Trump’s days are numbered … and then there’s Vice President Mike Pence waiting in the wings
Three things, maybe more, in Pence’s favor: He’s not a visible idiot; he doesn’t tweet; having been in Congress, he at least knows how it works, and in Congress he’s learned the art of compromise; there will be no wall even if he’s lukewarm about it. Serious of demeanor and acting like a president will go a long, long way toward rebuilding (rebuilding? Shoot, rehabilitating is more like it) our shattered reputation in the world. He might, unlike his predecessor, take on the Russians (I believe he will have to do this) and, finally, he’ll not make an ass of himself signing inane, banal and non-binding, stupid “executive orders” which can be knocked out of the park any time Congress wants to.
One enormous and ominous item not in his favor: He might subtly continue to follow Trump’s agenda.
