On a recent episode of “The View,” host Jedediah Bila said she would be a lot more comfortable in an environment where there were a number of armed citizens (who had training and weapons were carried openly) than a place where they weren’t.
I agree with her. She had prior experience as a judge and obviously knew not only the law but the Constitution.
She also mentioned that “if only the police had weapons, this would be a police state.”
Practically speaking, in case of a “shooting,” it would be best if the police took care of matters, but they cannot always be everywhere in a matter of seconds, and a skilled citizen may shoot the shooter, preventing a “catastrophe.”
