It’s Bishop Peak, not Bishop’s

Thanks for the fun article on fake facts of San Luis Obispo County (Tribune, June 4). I thought I would add one more that is abused routinely — the incorrect use of Bishop’s Peak. The correct name is “Bishop Peak.” Check the USGS. It’s not the possessive form. I’m not sure why the winery and elementary school were so named, but I hear this misuse as much as the “Madonna” for Cerro San Luis.
