Theater reviews should be critical analysis, not plot summary

Please hire theater reviewers who review a play and not just write a summary, especially with well-known plays like “On Golden Pond” and “You Can’t Take It With You” as “reviewed” in Feb. 23’s Ticket.

The purpose of a review is to help the ticket-buyer decide on whether or not to see a certain production, not to rehash the entire plot. Discuss what makes that particular production worthy of seeing.

Less summary, more critical analysis.
