Denounce hate speech

It is appalling that Cal Poly President Jeffrey Armstrong is not denouncing Milo Yiannopoulos’ speaking engagement at Cal Poly (“Protecting free speech at Cal Poly is an obligation, not an option,” Jan. 26).

Hate speech is never free speech, and it is shameful that the campus Republicans are using that as their defense.

I guess anything goes with Donald Trump in office, no matter how offensive.
