I just want to say a huge, bottom-of-my-heart, grateful “thank you” to Lindsey and James, two unrelated San Luis Obispo residents, who saved my renegade dogs from certain injury (or worse) in traffic on Highway 227 on Nov. 16.

You could say my dogs are dumb, but not as dumb as me. I left the gate open.
