Buried on Page 4A of Nov. 14’s paper was a small article titled “Confederate flags at vets’ parade.” Apparently three men carrying Confederate flags were waving these flags at a Veterans Day parade in Petaluma. Rep. Jared Huffman, in attendance, said, “I’ve been doing this parade now for a dozen years. I have never seen anything like that.”

Is this what we now how have to look forward to with a Trump presidency?

As the late great actress Bette Davis proclaimed in one of her movie roles, “Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy night!” Substitute “night” for “ride” and hang on to your hat!
