Our job: Defend California from Donald Trump

I was going to let it slide. Really, I was intending to try to make peace with the tragedy of the election. Move on. Then I see “Quit Whining, Libs” in The Tribune (Letters, Nov. 11) and know why I can’t.

Millions of people voted a truly ugly man as our president. He has no standards, no policies, no opinions, no grace, no class. Our current president has all of those. We will not “move on” and “quit whining” because our children’s future depends upon us. What he says and does is not OK; it’s unacceptable in any society; it’s disgusting.

So our job in the next four years is to “defend California from Trump” as the Sacramento Bee opines. You’ll see.
