Maybe American voters are unhappy — but Donald Trump is the wrong answer

In regard to the latest presidential election, it is clear that a majority of the U.S. feels the country is headed in the wrong direction and wants, as a major objective, to change that direction. OK, maybe.

But then to choose the unscrupulous Donald Trump (and that is putting it very mildly) to accomplish this is beyond me. No objective, however important, justifies electing a person like him.

For those who are happy with his election and are waiting for the wall, the 25 million new jobs, the deporting of Muslims and illegal aliens, a return of America to the 1950s, amongst his other “grandiose ideas” — don’t hold your breath.

My hope is that he gets nothing done and we escape these four years intact as a nation. At that point, we then realize what a gigantic mistake his selection was and we move on behind a person who truly understands the global and national problems we face.
