Thanks to compassionate people here on the Central Coast, 60 motor homes, travel trailers and fifth wheels have now been passed on to local veterans and their family members who were homeless. This program was started by Hope’s Village of SLO and is now run by Paso Cares. No money exchanges hands, and no liability is incurred. Just a simple gift from one person to another.

We still have 30 more homeless veterans (who are ineligible for other help) in need of housing. If you have an RV you’re not using and would like to donate it, please give Cherie Michaelson a call at 805-712-7067. You too can help veterans off the streets and into their own home on wheels!

Many thanks to those who have already given. We owe our veterans so much.

Becky Jorgeson, Santa Margarita
