No answers for why 40 percent of voters support Trump

I thought I would write a quick letter before I discuss with my daughter why 40 percent of registered voters — most are so-called Christians, evangelicals, Republicans and are white as I am — could vote for a deplorable devil like Mr. Donald Trump. At present, I have no answers to give her.
