Bravo to you, Tribune, for placing this article into your edition (“Instead of asking the homeless to look for work, this city brings the work to them,” Aug. 12)!

The San Luis Obispo Downtown Association is starting a series of conversations about a variety of current topics tied to “downtown” life; homelessness is one of these.

This Albuquerque article is perfectly timed — as a believer in giving our homeless Hand Up opportunities, I will reference this article when that conversation occurs.

Thank you for expanding our city’s insight into this issue!

Karen Wyckoff Bren, San Luis Obispo
