Nuclear plant closure series is an example of journalism’s role

The Tribune’s first two articles on life after nuclear are shining examples of journalism as it should be.

The articles show initiative in posing the question and are informative, inquiring and interesting. (“Lessons for Diablo Canyon: Vermont region adjusts to life without its nuclear plant,” and “Nuclear jobs are gone, but $10 million in economic aid offers hope to Vermont county,” Aug. 28)

Thank you to you and your staff for doing what newspapers do.

Marvin Sosna, Morro Bay
