A short spring storm is headed to SLO County. When and where to expect rain

Open your umbrellas — or get ready to soak up the rain, because a short spring storm is heading to San Luis Obispo County.

After a sunny Monday, San Luis Obispo has a 90% chance of rain after 11 p.m., the National Weather Service said. The city could receive up to a quarter inch of rain with wind gusts up to 15 mph.

Meanwhile, Paso Robles has an 80% chance of rain on Monday after 11 p.m. with wind gusts up to 20 mph. The storm could bring up to a quarter inch of rain.

Finally, Morro Bay has a 100% chance of rain after 11 p.m. with the potential for up to a half inch of rain, the weather service. Wind gusts could reach 15 mph.

On Tuesday, there’s a 100% chance of rain with the possibility of thunderstorms after 11 a.m. in San Luis Obispo. Wind gusts could reach 20 mph, and up to half an inch of rain is possible. Then, on Tuesday night, there’s a 50% chance of rain in San Luis Obispo before 11 p.m.

The weather service also forecast a 100% chance of rain for Paso Robles on Tuesday, with the potential for a half inch of rain. On Tuesday night, Paso Robles has a 50% chance of rain before 11 p.m.

Morro Bay has a 100% chance of rain on Tuesday, with the potential for a thunderstorm. Winds could gust up to 20 mph, and the coastal town can expect up to a half inch of rain. Then, Morro Bay can expect a 50% chance of rain before 11 p.m.

The storm will pass by Wednesday, making way for a mostly sunny week across the county.
