Lake Tahoe under a lake wind advisory until Wednesday evening - gusts may reach 45 mph

The NWS Reno NV released a lake wind advisory at 1:04 p.m. on Monday valid from 7 p.m. until Wednesday 7 p.m. for Lake Tahoe.
The NWS states to anticipate, "Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph and waves 2 to 5 feet."
"Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve," states the NWS. "Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind."
This advisory is in effect until Wednesday at 7 p.m.
