Storm soaks SLO County: Here’s how much rain fell — and what’s next
The tail end of a strong storm dumped a considerable amount of rain on San Luis Obispo County on Monday.
County locations received anywhere from 0.4 inches to more than 1.8 inches of rain in the 24-hour period ending at 9:40 p.m. on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Rocky Butte, a location in the mountains northeast of Cambria that often receives the most rainfall in the county, led the way with 1.89 inches.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo received 1.53 inches of rain, while the South County topped out at around 0.68 inches in Nipomo. North County ranged between 0.43 inches in Templeton and 1.02 inches in Atascadero.

San Luis Obispo County has received a decent amount of rain since July 1.
As usual, Rocky Butte led the way with 10.16 inches of rain, while the Cuesta Grade followed close behind with 8.06 inches, according to the San Luis Obispo County Department of Public Works.

What’s ahead in SLO County’s forecast
San Luis Obispo County can expect mostly sunny skies on Tuesday peppered with a slight chance of showers, the Weather Service said.
The forecast then calls for sunny skies on Wednesday, and a slight chance of rain in the evening.
Thursday has a 60% to 70% chance of rain after 10 a.m. and a 40% chance of showers in the evening, the Weather Service said.
Friday has a slight chance of rain in the morning, marking the end of the storm.
The Weather Service predicted mostly sunny skies through the weekend.
