Power outages knock out electricity as atmospheric river storm sweeps SLO County. See where

Thousands of people across San Luis Obispo County were at one point without power on Thursday afternoon as a powerful atmospheric river storm pummeled the region with heavy rain and strong winds.

As of Thursday afternoon, numerous reports of toppled trees and potentially downed power lines had come in throughout the county. Crews were actively working to restore power as the outages were reported.

See where the latest outages are, how many are impacted and when power is expected to be restored.

Updates and outage numbers are as of 4 p.m. Thursday:

  • Cayucos: 93 people were without power in the area of Orville and Richards avenues in Cayucos. Power was expected to be restored by 8 p.m., according to PG&E.
