What’s ahead in SLO County’s forecast

Monday morning saw a lull in the storm system, but more rain and wind is in the forecast, according to meteorologist John Lindsey.

Lindsey said southeasterly winds will decrease to fresh to strong levels — around 19 to 31 mph — but a cold front could continue producing rain on Monday.

Lindsey predicted San Luis Obispo County would see between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain Monday.

Conditions will further soften on Tuesday, with partly or mostly cloudy skies, rain showers and gentle, 8 to 18 mph winds.

Gale-force winds between 25 and 38 mph will return Wednesday into Thursday morning, followed by another storm arriving Thursday evening, Lindsey said.

That storm could bring between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain, giving way to drier conditions over the weekend into Valentine’s Day, Lindsey said.
