Batten down the hatches: SLO County could see winds up to 45 mph, NWS warns
Parts of San Luis Obispo County were put on a high wind advisory Friday evening.
The National Weather Service warned winds will blow northeast at 20-30 miles per hour, with some gusts reaching up to 45 mph, in inland areas near the Santa Lucia mountain range.
The advisory is in effect until 3 a.m. Saturday.
The NWS warned residents near Hearst Castle, the Irish Hills, Caliente Range, La Panza Range and Santa Margarita Lake may be impacted.
The winds could blow unsecured objects, and high profile vehicles may be difficult to handle in the winds. Power outages and broken tree limbs may occur, according to the advisory.
