The National Weather Service issued a frost advisory for parts of San Luis Obispo County on Thursday.

The frost advisory was issued Thursday as temperatures dipped below 32 degrees several days in a row in the Paso Robles area, according to the Weather Service.

Temperatures were expected to dip below 34 degrees in wind-sheltered areas between 3 and 8 a.m. Friday, according to the Weather Service.

Those low temperatures were forecast for the Atascadero, Lake Nacimiento, Paso Robles, San Miguel, Templeton, Carrizo Plain, Creston and Shandon areas, according to the advisory.

The low temperatures mean frost could form.

“Frost can damage sensitive plants and harm pets if left unprotected,” the advisory said.
