High wind advisory issued for SLO County, with gusts up to 45 mph. Here’s where

San Luis Obispo County beaches and parts of the inland region are under a high wind advisory now until Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service warns northwest winds can reach 20-30 miles per hour, which some gusts reaching up to 45 mph.

The strongest winds are expected at the beaches, the advisory said.

The advisory warns residents that Arroyo Grande, Avila Beach, Cambria, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, Lopez Lake, Nipomo and San Luis Obispo may be impacted by the gusts, along with other locations in Santa Barbara County.

The winds could blow unsecured objects, and high profile vehicles may be difficult to handle in the winds. Power outages and broken tree limbs may occur, according to the advisory.

The advisory is in effect from noon today until Tuesday at 8 p.m.
