Rain is on the way to SLO County. Here’s a look at the forecast for your area
Ready for a break from the sunny conditions and warm fall temperatures, San Luis Obispo County?
That’s on the way this weekend, as the National Weather Service predicts a chance of rain along with cooler temperatures for inland areas on Saturday.
Drizzles may begin Friday evening and are expected to strengthen to rain throughout Saturday, according to the Weather Service’s latest forecast.
Not much rain will fall, however — the Weather Service predicts precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible.
Inland areas such as San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles are expected to experience cooler temperatures in the high 60 degrees on Saturday. That’s a notable decrease from the high 70s and mid-80s forecast for Thursday and Friday.
Coastal areas such as Morro Bay, Cambria and Pismo Beach likely won’t see as large a dip in the temperatures on Saturday. The Weather Service predicts temperatures there to fall from the low 70s and high 60s to the mid- to low 60s.
The sunshine is expected to return on Sunday, with partly sunny conditions across the county, according to the Weather Service.
Temperatures likely won’t rise too much, though, from Saturday.
A high in the upper 60s is predicted for inland areas such as San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, while coastal areas such as Morro Bay, Cambria and Pismo Beach can expect temperatures in the high 50s and low 60s, according to the Weather Service.
