It was a rainy Christmas weekend with more cold, wet weather still to come.

A cold front is anticipated for Monday, producing 0.5 to 1.25 inches of rain along the Central Coast and winds from 25 to 32 mph, with gusts to 45 mph, according to a forecast by John Lindsey, meteorologist with PG&E.

Lindsey said he predicts heavy mountain snow falling at about 3,500 feet in San Luis Obispo County.

Even colder air is expected Tuesday with rain and snow falling Wednesday through Thursday, according to Lindsey. Snow could fall as low as 1,500 feet.
