As of 11:30 a.m., Mesesan said PG&E was still working about 60 different outages in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, impacting about 1,550 customers.
Those outages include areas east of Atascadero and Santa Margarita, Shell Beach, Pismo Beach and Nipomo.
According to PG&E’s outage map, about 689 customers are impacted by outages in SLO County as of noon.

“We’ve made a great deal of progress this morning,” he said. “We had 11,000 people out in SLO and Santa Barbara counties when I woke up this morning in our customer territory.”

By 9:30 a.m. most of the 1,500 Paso Robles residents who lost power had regained electricity, the company said.
There were still 1,200 customers in Pismo Beach without electricity as of 9:30 a.m., according to the PG&E outage map.
Lewis Middle School in Paso Robles closed due to the power outage, according to a Facebook post from the Paso Robles Unified School District. Facilities were open for children who need a safe place to go, the district said.
The power outage comes after a powerful rain storm hit the Central Coast over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
PG&E had not reported the cause of the power outages, or stated when electricity will be restored for Central Coast residents, as of 9:30 a.m. Monday.
