SLO County weather forecast for the week of April 27: Highs could reach 90 in Paso Robles
Much like last week’s classic Central Coast spring weather pattern, this upcoming week will be very much the same.
High pressure will weaken into Monday. Consequently, the northwesterly winds will increase to strong to gale-force (25 to 38 mph) levels and areas of marine low clouds will develop which will produce cooler temperatures throughout the Central Coast.
High pressure will rebuild on Tuesday into Wednesday for fresh to strong (19 to 31 mph) northwesterly winds and warmer temperatures. Highs will be 10 to 20 degrees above average in the North County with temperatures reaching the low 90s. However, the northwesterly (onshore) winds and areas of marine low clouds will keep the beaches in the 60s, except for Cayucos, Avila Beach and Shell Beach which will reach the 70s. The coastal valleys will range between the mid-70s to low 80s range.
The long-range models are not indicating any rain for an extended period with generally above average temperatures for mid-spring.
Surf report
Gale-force northwesterly winds along the California coastline will generate 6- to 8-foot northwesterly (310-degree, deep-water) sea and swell (with a 7- to 14-second period) along our coastline through Thursday.
Seawater temperatures will range between 51 and 53 degrees through Thursday.

With the first warm weather of the year, please remember, It is NEVER safe to leave a toddler, disabled person or pet locked in a car, even in the winter. Cars can heat up quickly when left in the sun. Children locked in cars have died in December and in 70-degree weather, even with a window left open a little.
