John Lindsey’s weekly weather column and forecast are on temporary hiatus

John Lindsey’s weekly Weather Watch column on Sunday and forecast on Monday will be on hiatus for the near future due to a family medical emergency.

He hopes to return within a matter of weeks, but a time frame is uncertain at this point.

Here’s is the note he shared with his email list:

Dear readers,

I regret to inform you that I must temporarily suspend the production and distribution of my regular weather and oceanographic forecasts, newspaper columns, and radio reports due to a dire medical emergency in my family.

I regret any inconvenience this disruption may cause you. While I would like to be able to tell you definitively when I expect to return, I cannot at this time. It may be two weeks or longer so that I may focus my attention and my energy toward the care of my loved ones.

I plan to resume my work and professional activities as soon as I am able, and I thank you for your warm thoughts and prayers toward my family and your consideration during this difficult time.

Sincerely, John, JCL5@pge.com
