Watch The Tribune’s forum with supervisor candidates Jimmy Paulding, Adam Verdin

The two candidates for District 4 supervisor — incumbent Jimmy Paulding and challenger Adam Verdin — appeared on a virtual stage on Thursday, Jan. 14, giving voters their first opportunity to view them side by side.

The forum was hosted by The Tribune Editorial Board, which invited voters to submit questions in advance of the event, offering a preview of what is on the minds of SLO County residents as we approach the June 2 primary election.

Candidates addressed a range of topics, including affordable housing, gerrymandering, ICE enforcement in San Luis Obispo County, the future of the Oceano Dunes off-road recreation park, the battery storage facility in Nipomo, Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant.
