Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff and Congressman Salud Carbajal will speak at a town hall event together in San Luis Obispo on Tuesday night.

The event, held at Harold J. Miossi Cultural and Performing Arts Center at Cuesta College at 6 p.m., requires an RSVP to attend.

Schiff represents California in the U.S. Senate, and Carbajal represents the Central Coast in the House of Representatives.

During the town hall, the lawmakers will discuss the work they are doing in Congress on behalf of Californians and will take questions from constituents.

The visit marks the most recent of Schiff’s many stops throughout the state since his swearing in, including at the Shasta Dam and Chico State University.

In the Senate, Schiff led efforts to demand an investigation into potential insider trading and corruption ahead of the 90-day tariff pause and led a bicameral spotlight hearing calling out President Trump’s attacks on the rule of law.

This week, after new reports of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s repeated use of the Signal messaging app to communicate about U.S. military operations in Yemen, Schiff called on the National Archives and Records Administration to open an investigation into the Trump administration’s use of non-governmental commercial applications for sensitive communications.

Due to overwhelming interest, admittance to Tuesday’s town hall will be on a first come, first served basis for those who have RSVPed.

Attendees should bring their IDs for check-in at the venue. For security, only small or transparent bags will be allowed, with the exception of medically necessary items.
