Ram is betting on 8 performance pickups for sales surge
Ram 1500 pickup sales are up 27% for the first half of 2027 - a major bright spot for the brand - and Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis expects more growth.
I spoke with Kuniskis about pickups at Stellantis' proving ground in Chelsea, Michigan.
Ram is adding three "muscle trucks" - pickups tuned for street performance with more power and sporty proportions. Ram calls them Rumble Bees. Sales begin later this year.
Ram's performance models also include five off-roaders, topped by the 777-horsepower SRT TRX pickup that just went on sale.

- Rumble Bee 392: 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds, 470 hp
- Rumble Bee SRT: 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, 777 hp
