An argument at a local business led to a shooting that killed one person and injured another, Missouri police said.

The fight started over “parenting or lack thereof” at a business, according to the criminal complaint filed on March 13, and then continued into two vehicles.

Two men are now facing multiple charges, including first-degree murder, armed criminal action, assault, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to court records.

Surveillance footage from the area caught parts of the argument that spewed from the St. Louis business into two adjacent vehicles, the complaint said.

Kelvin Allen is accused of firing a gunshot at the business where the argument started. Allen then drove a rented vehicle and followed the victim’s car, police said.

Orlando Taylor is accused of firing gunshots during the altercation, the complaint said.

The shooting occurred at an intersection, according to the complaint.

Attorney information for Allen and Taylor was not listed.

One of the shooting victims drove themselves and a passenger to a hospital, police said. When they arrived, the driver had serious injuries and the passenger was dead, police said.

Both Allen and Taylor were arraigned in court on March 14, according to court records. Both are being held on a $500,000 bond.
