Gunman in clown mask shoots and kills man sitting in car outside motel, Texas cops say
Police are searching for a gunman who wore hoodie and a clown mask during a fatal shooting outside a Texas motel, according to authorities and media reports.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 1:15 a.m. June 3 at the Diamond Inn, a motel in southeast Houston, according to a news release from the Houston Police Department.
A 31-year-old victim was found in the driver’s seat of his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
The suspect entered the area,approached the man, and fired more than 10 rounds before fleeing on foot north towards the Gulf Freeway service road, police told KHOU.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Veronica Roberston identified the victim as her son, Liquorian Robertson, a father of five, KTRK reported.
According to police, the suspect was described as “a male, possibly bald, wearing a two-toned mask that had red and white coloring.”
The mask has been described by authorities as a clown mask, according to KHOU and KTRK.
Police said the suspect also wore a dark hoodie, pants, and black sneakers with white soles.
“There is no known motive for the shooting,” police said.
