4-year-old disappears from apartment and body is found day later, Washington cops say
A missing 4-year-old’s body is believed to have been found a day after he disappeared from a Washington apartment.
Ariel Garcia was last seen Wednesday, March 27, the Everett Police Department said in a Facebook post.
He went missing “under suspicious circumstances,” prompting police across multiple jurisdictions, including the FBI, to search extensively for him, authorities said.
Police said they found a “vehicle of interest” related to Ariel’s disappearance but couldn’t find the child. The vehicle was a blue 2013 Nissan Sentra SV with Washington license plate CJC9954.
A body was found at about 5:55 p.m. March 28 outside of Everett, along I-5 in Pierce County, police said.
“Initial indications are that the found body is the missing person in this case,” police said.
A medical examiner will identify the body and determine the cause of death.
Everett is about a 30-mile drive north from Seattle.
