Justin Upton — MLB star — lists his impressive California estate. Take a peek inside
The first pick of the 2005 MLB Draft, outfielder Justin Upton, has listed his chic — but fun — Newport Beach, California, estate for $6.795 million.
Even though Upton has been a free agent since 2022, according to Baseball Reference, his star power throughout the baseball world is known thanks to stints with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Angels.
His five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home is a combination of sleek, sophistication combined with delights in the basement area.
“In this area most commonly referred to as Dover Shores, finished basements and subterranean levels are very rare,” listing agent Annie Clougherty said in a news release.
“2015 Leeward Lane boasts an impressive, fully livable finished entertainer’s basement. Exceptional details include 100-year-old fabricate wood turned wood floors and a tri-level floating staircase with three-inch treads.”
According to the listing on Compass, the 5,963-square-foot interior is like a work of art that surrounds the floating staircase, with high-end amenities spread out all over, including:
Custom home finishes
Door handles made of brass
Chef’s kitchen
Open floor plan
Outdoor decks
Built-in BBQ
Fire pit
Bonus room
Wine cellar
Theater area
Bar
Upton made his Major League Baseball debut with the Diamondbacks in 2007 and had a batting average of .261 with 1,754 hits, 325 home runs, and 1,003 RBIs during his career. He last played for the Seattle Mariners in 2022, according to Baseball Reference.
