McDonald’s newest sauces are made for dipping, but they won’t stick around.

Fans of the fast-food chain can try the new McDonald’s Mambo Sauce and Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce at participating U.S. locations starting Monday, Oct. 9, according to a news release.

Inspired by the popular Washington, D.C. condiment, McDonald’s Mambo sauce is a “tomato-based, sweet, spicy and vinegary” dip that’s best paired with menu favorites including the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, chicken McNuggets and fries, the restaurant said.

The Sweet & Spicy Jam sauce features Szechuan peppercorn, cayenne for extra heat and apple cider vinegar, according to a product description.

It’s McDonald’s first breakfast-inspired dipping sauce, according to the restaurant, and is best on a sausage McMuffin or hash browns.

Both are available for a limited time, though McDonald’s didn’t say how long.

“Sweet & Spicy Jam and Mambo Sauce live at the intersection of flavor and culture — pulling from decades of rich food history and tradition in local restaurants and home kitchens ...” Tariq Hassan, chief marketing and customer experience officer for McDonald’s USA, said in a statement.

News of the new sauces comes about a week after McDonald’s confirmed the return of its spicy Chicken McNuggets, McClatchy News reported. The menu favorite last appeared in 2022, though it was only offered at about half of McDonald’s U.S. locations, according to Eat This, Not That.

A spokesperson confirmed the nuggets will be available in select markets, including Seattle, Portland, Denver and New York City.
