A 26-year-old man was kidnapped in Washington and reappeared days later with a gunshot wound, police said.

Gouled Ali was last seen “struggling” as multiple people forced him into a vehicle in an apartment parking garage at 7:16 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, in Renton, McClatchy News reported.

An onlooker witnessed the kidnapping and called police, according to the Renton Police Department.

No one knew where Ali went.

Two days later, Ali reappeared knocking on someone’s apartment door in Des Moines, which is 10 miles southwest of Renton, police said.

He had been shot in an arm and was taken to a hospital. Police said they will interview him for more information.

Renton is about 15 miles southeast of Seattle.
