‘Largest home’ in Kentucky — with over 50 rooms — is up for sale. See lavish spectacle
Delong Manor sticks out of the Kentucky countryside in the best way possible and is considered to be “the largest home” in the Bluegrass State, the estate’s listing on Realtor.com notes.
And now, the 24,252-square-foot megamansion that comes with more than 50 rooms is on the market in Lexington for $14.5 million.
“When I first walked in, I was amazed,” listing agent Douglas Schuerman told Realtor.com. “One word came to mind and that was ‘perfect.’ Everything in this home is museum quality and absolutely perfect. … There’s nothing like it.”
This isn’t the first time the picturesque manor has been up for sale. Alan and Irene Bloomfield listed their “dream house” in 2010 for $6.5 million, a decade after they finished building it. The couple modeled the estate after “a 17th-century English country house they had seen in England,” the Lexington Herald Leader reported.
The house finally sold in 2019 for $4 million, according to the property history.
“At that time, the house had been on the market for a while,” Schuerman said to Realtor. “The sellers have put a lot of money into it. They’ve touched almost every aspect of the house, inside and out. That’s why it’s in perfect condition today.”
Features include:
Elevator
Game room
Theater
High ceilings
Chef’s kitchen
Massive windows
Formal garden
Swimming pool
The listing is held by EXP Realty LLC Louisville.
