Teacup sized cat with ‘bent and twisty legs’ steals hearts on TikTok. Meet Tater Tot

A dog named BeBe stumbled upon a tiny orange cat while exploring around her home — and it was just the beginning of the cat’s story.

The 5-week-old kitten was found in Utah with a leg deformity and a displeased face, but now he has gained quite the fan club across social media.

TikTok user @kittycrusiade posted a video to the social media platform July 21 to share the story of Tater Tot.

Tater Tot was found with four legs that were malformed and a cleft palate, the TikToker said. He was later handed over to Kitty CrusAIDe, a Salt Lake City animal rescue, and things started to change.

The cat was put in splints to help change the form of his legs so he’d be able to eventually learn to use them, the TikTok said.

Luckily for the cat with “bent and twisty legs,” he learned, and his splints were taken off, according to a TikTok video that has garnered more than 5.6 million views.

As of now, Tater Tot is “hanging out with the big kids” as he grows, according to a July 23 post on Instagram by his foster mom.

He gets tube fed by his foster mom, according to the TikToker. The foster mom was identified by FOX news as Ash Houghton.

“At this point, we are just focused on getting him big and strong,” Houghton told FOX News.
