Ready to lose it? There’s more than 1 version of ‘Across the Spider-Verse’ in theaters
Fans who have already watched “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” have been tight-lipped to avoid spilling spoilers of the hit film, but a few have still managed to discover a fun a little tidbit:
Like Peter Parker and Miles Morales — there are multiple versions of the movie currently in theaters.
And yes, it was confirmed by associate editor Andrew Leviton after one Twitter user posted a side-by-side scenes showing Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac) and his virtual version of Siri, Lyla (Greta Lee.) In one variation, Lyla is taking a selfie with a bunny filter, while the other version shows her pointing at Miguel.
Leviton then confirmed it himself by quote tweeting the clip with the caption “I was wondering when people might start noticing...”
Cue the dominoes falling... hard.
Viewers then started putting their heads together to spot more differences, with Reddit user @Hohoho-you posting list of the subtle, yet brilliant, differences between the versions.
It appears that Leviton is getting a kick out of fans posting evidence they discovered so far.
It’s not clear what version viewers will see when heading to the theater, which can be frustrating for those who want to explore ALL the multiverses, er...versions, when going to see it yet again.
