On at least three separate occasions, an intruder broke into the apartment of a “college-aged” woman and performed “lewd acts” over Labor Day weekend, police in Boulder, Colorado said. In one instance, the man also sexually assaulted a sleeping woman inside her apartment, according to police.

The string of sexual contacts and burglaries in the University Hill neighborhood are currently under investigation by the Boulder Police Department, according to a Sept. 6 news release.

The suspect is described as a “well-groomed male approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build and dark hair between the ages of 18-25,” according to officials.

A video of the possible suspect who appears to be wearing sweatpants and a hoodie was posted by Boulder Police to Twitter.

Police shared the following information about each incident, according to the news release:

  • A man entered an apartment through an “unlocked front door” just before 4 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3 in the 1100 block of 11th street. The woman awoke to the suspect performing a “lewd act near her,” and then he fled the apartment.
  • The following day, police believe the same suspect entered another apartment just before 6 a.m. perhaps through an open window or unlocked door in the 1000 block of Pleasant Street. A woman once again awoke to the suspect performing a “lewd act near her.” The woman later noticed “her car keys and car had been stolen.” In addition, another victim also reported a car key theft. The suspect was wearing a hoodie and gray cargo pants.
  • The next day, on Monday, Sept. 5, a woman awoke to a suspect “touching her in a sexual manner” after entering the “basement-level apartment through an unlocked window” at around 6 a.m. in the 1000 block of Pleasant Street. Police believe it was the same man in the previous incidents. This time he was “wearing a red Hawaiian-style, button-up shirt.” The man fled through another bedroom where he was “confronted by a second victim.”

Boulder Police is encouraging everyone to always lock their windows and doors and increasing patrols in the area.

Police believe there may be more victims, according to the news release.
