$11.2 million house for sale in Colorado is an architectural marvel. See for yourself
A captivating home designed by an award-winning architect has landed on the real estate market in Avon, Colorado, for $11.25 million.
It was also named the state’s “Home of the Year” by Colorado Homes & Lifestyles in 2020.
The owners, Fiona and Bill Arnold, who built the home in 2019, knew exactly what they wanted when it came to their perfect house, Colorado Homes & Lifestyles said.
“If I could’ve had a roof and a floor, and everything else was glass, then I’d be great,” Fiona Arnold said to the publication. “We just tried to be thoughtful. We were told we needed a wine room, but we said no. We were told not to build our house too small for resale value, but we didn’t care. We just wanted to build it to perfectly fit our needs.”
Designed by award-winning architect Kyle Webb, the four-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom house is a ”rare opportunity (that) presents a perfect collaboration of mountain modern design in an inviting, organic palette, with hints of Mid-Century style,” the listing on Realtor.com says.
Highlights of the 5,409-square-foot home include:
Floor-to-ceiling doors and windows
Open floor plan
Indoor/outdoor living spaces
Gourmet kitchen
Outdoor living area
Spa
“I love the whole sequence of spaces and how they are in tandem and how they talk to one another. It feels so good to be in that house. It’s soothing and relaxing,” Webb said of his design to Colorado Homes & Lifestyles. “This one had harmony in the whole process and design.”
