The Columbine High School massacre took place in 1999. A watershed moment in the United States, it was the worst mass shooting at a school in the country’s history.
After Tuesday’s Robb Elementary School assault in Uvalde, Texas, where at least 19 children and two adults were murdered, Columbine now ranks fourth.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says the shooter, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, used an AR-15 in the attack at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
